“Happy Christmas good people of the FAC and beyond…

I spent most of the last year in the studio working on our new album… I’m unable to deal with anything else when we’re recording… it’s all consuming and I can’t keep those plates spinning…

Despite this, had a brilliant couple of days with music students at Dartmouth and Falmouth… I’ve always been sceptical of schools/colleges that offer ‘popular’ music courses, but I’m happy to say it was more like art college. There are some great young musicians there making bold, innovative and exciting music, and some cool tutors/lecturers encouraging and challenging them. I learn as much from them, as they do from me… In fact I’m not sure what they learn from me, but I had a great time!

ドバイ国際映画祭で『ノルウェイの森』が最優秀作曲賞を受賞した模様。

アラブ首長国連邦のひとつ、ドバイで開催された『第7回ドバイ国際映画祭』で、『ノルウェイの森』（トラン・アン・ユン監督、公開中）が"最優秀作曲賞"を受賞。
日本でこの知らせを受けた主演俳優の松山ケンイチは「ジョニーさん、万歳！」とひと言、コメントを寄せた。...とのこと。

今晩ロンドンで行なわれるBella Union Christmas Showでの出演が予定されていたPhilですが体調不良の為、出演がキャンセルとなった模様。
イベント自体は開催されますが、チケットの払い戻しも可能との事。
また、Philのライブについては、スケジュール調整できれば来年早々にでもおこなわれる可能性がある様です。

COP 16

The the COP16 climate summit is now underway in Cancun.
Thanks to those 1500 or so women, men and children who withstood the cold to take part in the Brighton/Hove 350.org earth art exhibit on Saturday.

Also please note that our current prime minister who once made such positive noises to us and to me personally about his party's commitment to tackling climate change will not be attending.
