9月末にリリースされたModeselektorのニューアルバム「Monkeytown」に収録されているThomとのコラボレーション・トラック"Shipwreck" のオフィシャルビデオが公開されています。

Warp Records傘下、ヒップホップ/エレクトロニカ・レーベルのLex Recordsの10周年記念コンピレーション「Complex」に、おそらくDOOMが今年3月に言及していたThomとJonnyとのコラボレーションと思われるトラックが収録される模様。
この「Complex」は来年1月中旬までに1曲づつ毎週デジタルリリースされ、ある時点で全曲収録したピクチャー・ディスク・ビニールとしてリリースされる予定とのこと。

ニール・ヤング夫妻が障害を持つ子供達のための学校 The Bridge School をサポートするために音楽界から様々なゲストを招いて行っているチャリティー・イベントBridge School Benefit Concert （Thomは2002年に出演）の25周年を記念して、厳選された歴代パフォーマンスを収録した「Bridge School Concert 25th Anniversary」が10月24日に発売されました。

LIVE映像やドキュメンタリーを収録した 3枚組DVDとCD2枚組のセット「Bridge School Concert 25th Anniversary」の他、CDのみ「Bridge School Concerts 25th Annivers」、アナログ「Bridge School Concert 25th Anniversary [Analog]」のみでもリリース。売上は The Bridge School に全額寄付されるそうです。

CD（アナログ）にはThomのプレイした「After The Gold Rush」が収録されています。

Philip's solo shows at Pegasus Theatre

Next month, on the 10th and 11th November, I will be doing a couple of shows of my solo material at The Pegasus Theatre in Oxford to mark the start of their 50th Anniversary. I'm a patron of the theatre and these shows are fundraisers to support the fantastic and really valuable work that Pegasus does in providing access to the creative arts for young people. EdのインタビューがBBC 6のShaun Keavenyのショウでオンエアされ、来年のツアーについて語っています。

Edはツアーについて来年の2月末から始まって、おそらく11月の終わりまでの間に英国と米国、いくつかのショーは屋外、ヨーロッパでのショーは屋内になりそうと。
これについては屋外はすばらしいが新作等のサウンド面を考慮した上で今回は屋外向けではないとのことで屋内がメインとなりそう。
また、前回のIn Rainbowsツアーのような「In Rainbows ＋グレイテストヒッツ」みたいなものではなく、TKOLがメインのIn Rainbowsとそれにフィットする曲から選曲される模様。

16日、BBC Radio 6の番組でThomがホストをつとめたThom Yorke in The Mix"が放送。
Thomの好きな音楽をかけ、それについて語る2時間のスペシャル番組でしたが、その中で未発表曲となる「Stuck Together (Remix)」を披露。また、Thomは合間に「素人のミキシングでごめんよ」などコメント。

ドキュメンタリー映画"Anyone Can Play Guitar "（4月6日付ニュース参照）のプレミア上映会が行われるイベント、Sonic Cinemaが11月4日にロンドンのSouth Bankで開催。
Radioheadと親しいAdam Baxtonがホストをつとめ、この映画の監督と共にColinとEdがゲスト参加する模様。
チケットはすでにソールドアウト。

来月、オックスフォードのペガサスシアターの50周年を記念したイベントに出演が決定しているPhilが、10日にそのペガサスシアターを訪問し、Philが開設当初から支援、資金援助をおこなっている若者の為のミュージックコースで演説をし、その中でソロでのセカンドアルバムに取りかかっていることを明らかにしたそうです。
「現段階ではどんな音になるかわからない。レコーディングをはじめたら何がおこるかわかってくるだろうね」とのこと。

なお、Philの出演日は当初11月11日のみでしたがソールドアウトになった為、追加で11月10日も出演が決定しています。

ロンドン、ウォータールー駅下のトンネル、The Vic Old Tunnelsで10月10日〜25日まで開催されているThe Minotaurの初日にはThomが顔を出した模様。

来年、ロンドンのチョーク・ファームのRoundhouseで開催される現代音楽のフェスティバルReverb 2012で、London Contemporary OrchestraによるJonnyのDoghouseが演奏される模様。
このフェスティバルは2月24, 25, 26日、3月3, 4日の５日間の開催で、JonnyのDoghouseが演奏されるのは3月3日。

TKOLをひっさげてのツアーの遅れについては新しく加わっているClive DeamerがPortisheadのツアー中だったためとのこと。
来年のツアーの予定については「やったり期間あけたりになるだろうな。大きな間隔をあけたりね。.....でもそんなに大きな間隔じゃないよ。」と。
またリミックスについては「僕の子供みたいなもんだよ」とも。
年末までにAtoms For Peaceのアルバムを完成させる予定で、このアルバムは2010年のツアーでのセッションから生まれたものをレコーディングしているとのことですが、現在はまだ納得がいってない模様。
Radioheadもまた12月、来年1月とオックスフォードのスタジオで新しい曲にとりかかるとのこと。
Thomはその中で"Come to Your Senses"という曲について、「5分のリハーサル音源だけど、僕らが必要としている本質がそこにあるんだ。」と。
他にも来年のツアーでプレイできるいくつかの曲も準備ができているとか。
これらをどうリリースするかは未定とのことですが、「成り行きにまかせて楽しめたらそれでいいかな。あまり考えすぎずにね」とも語っています。

Thomの誕生日。
今日で43歳。オメデトウ！

Thomが参加しているModeselektorのニューアルバム『Monkeytown』に収録されている「Shipwreck」の7インチが11月4日、1,000枚限定でリリース予定。
現在こちらにてプレオーダー受付中。

「Shipwreck」はモードセレクターとトムがオンラインでファイル交換をしながら制作を始め、ベルリンのスタジオで2日間共同のスタジオセッションを経て仕上げた曲で、B面に収録されている「Dull Hull」はThomのピアノのスクラブとプロフェットのサウンドをベースに実験的な手直しをかけた曲だとか。
また「Shipwreck」のミュージックビデオはフランス人監督、Tony T. によるもので、内容はポスト黙示録的な世界で生きる孤独な子どもの物語をフィーチャーしているそうです。

NPRの番組All Things ConsideredでのThomとEdのインタビューが6日（木）にオンエア。

Thomが他のミュージシャンが彼の仕事にどう影響を与えているか、またThe King Of Limbsのリリースについて語っています。

2月のリリース後、特にメディアを賑わせることもなかったRadioheadがここ最近、TVでのパフォーマンス、ニューヨークでのライヴを行っているが、そのリリース後の静けさについてはThomもEdも「そんな気分になれなかった」「説明とかしたくなかった」と語り、
最近行われたNPRのインタヴューではThe King of LimbsのレコーディングについてIn Rainbowsでの長いツアーサイクルを終えた後、バンドは消耗と退屈を感じスローダウンしてステップバックする必要があったとも。
最初のセッションでは「幼稚園での子供達みたいだったよ。やっていることを単純化しなきゃってのにアイデアが出てこないんだ。お互いの意見を聞くこともできなくなっちゃうんだよ。」
"できないんじゃないか"とか"とりあえずやってみてから判断しよう"ということを言わない環境でやることがベストで、今回のレコーディングではバンドでのセッション前に各自、自分のパートを先に取り組みそれぞれが録音したものを１つにしていくという新しいアプローチから始め、映画を編集するようだったとも語っています。
また完成は喜んだものの、その複雑さをライヴで表現するという考えにはパニックを起こしながらも、Thomはこれは僕らの一つの方法でこの事から僕らは学ばなきゃいけないことがあった。実際に出来ればそれはアリってことになるんだ....と。

先日、ライヴの出演が二転三転した Occupy Wall Street Protest （ニューヨークのウォール街占拠運動）について、Radioheadは今回のこの運動について共感していると表明。

NMEによると、今回の運動でライヴを決行するという噂がとてつもなく独り歩きをしてしまった事。またColinはデモ隊の金融機関への怒りについて「言うまでもなく誰だって頭にきて当然」と語っています。

また、「The King Of Limbs」を引っさげてのフェス以外でのツアーとして行ったアメリカでの体験や、今回ツアーに加わっているドラマーのCliveについても語っています。これから今年の残りをどうしようかとバンドで話し合いがあるとも。

Radiohead will celebrate the release of their remix album ‘TKOL RMX 1234567’ by streaming a live DJ set via The Boiler Room next Tuesday 11th October, from around 8pm UK time.

Thom will be DJing, along with Jamie XX, Caribou, Lone and Illum Sphere, who all feature on the album.

'TKOL RMX 1234567' is a CD compilation which collates all the 12” remixes that have been released throughout the summer. The album is released on October 10th and will be available from most music stores.
